They were defeated by second ranked Taiwanese Kings (3-2) 109-94 on Saturday night. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Kings made 19-of-21 free shots (90.5 percent) during the game. American-Jordanian Jalen Harris (196-1998, college: Nevada) scored 35 points (!!!) (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) to lead the charge for the winners and American-Bulgarian center Jason Washburn (213-1990, college: Utah, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in 30 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Omoefay Johnson (206-1999, college: SMU, agency: Diamond Sports) with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 18 rebounds. Egyptian center Assem Marei (206-1992, college: MSU) notched a triple-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds, 11 assists and 6 steals to lead the effort and Hongseok Yang supported him with 21 points. Even 31 points by American-Jordanian Jalen Harris (196-1998, college: Nevada) did not help to save the game for Xac Broncos. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Defending South Korean champion maintains fourth position with 1-3 record. Meralco Bolts keep a position of league leader, which they share with Kings and Xac Broncos. Macau BB at the other side still closes the standings with two games lost.
